In little over a year the rising r&b phenomenon known as Aziatix has made giant leaps to international stardom. With three hit albums, two highly successful US and Japan tours, and a win at the 2011 MAMA’s in Singapore for Best New Asian Act; the group has once again added another knock out song to their  ever-growing list of accolades.  With this years spring tour complete, Aziaddicts everywhere were highly anticipating the group’s newest release, as rumors of a new song and music video ran rampant among fans during the tour itself.

Last week, Aziatix confirmed these rumors by releasing a video teaser for their new song. The teaser cause a great commotion among fans as the title was only listed as a series of numbers. The speculation hit a fever pitch as fans clamored to make sense of the teaser’s title and speculated that it was  a reference to the measurement of the speed of light and they were right!

The music video for Speed Of Light was released today via Aziatix official YouTube channel.  The song was artfully composed and produced by Jae Chong and the lyrics were written by Jae “Flowsik” Pak and Jae Chong.  Speed of light is an up tempo ballad with an inclusion of medium percussion downbeats and soft piano accompaniment, which meld perfectly with Eddie Shin and Nicky Lee‘s hypnotizing vocal harmony and Flowsik’s masterful rap style.

The  music video, directed by MINIsTREE (Oh, Min) from Music Cube Inc.,  was filmed in Korea during the group’s two week tour break in mid-March. You can pick up this digital single, via Itunes, here.

This song is our way of sending a message of hope to all those who suffered tragedies in the recent years.  Natural disasters, downward spiral of the economy, personal losses, etc.  It’s an introduction to our new upcoming EP.  It will be an album that gives hope and strength to the new generation.  The actual single for the new album will follow this intro song along with bunch of new tracks. - Jae Chong

With the release of the new music video, it’s apparent to industry professionals, that this track along with the groups upcoming album will be one of their best releases so far.
