PSY has abandoned the title “Roppongi Style.”
Near the end of September, PSY was set to release his single, “Gangnam Style” retitled as “Roppongi Style,” in Japan – however in an emergency meeting on August 7th with YG Entertainment's staff, CEO Yang Hyunsuk and PSY, they have decided to keep the original title and Korean lyric words like “sanai.”
The Japanese single would have featured a change in lyrics from “Gangnam Style” to “Roppongi Style.” However, because of the current worldwide popularity of “Gangnam Style,” they have decided to stick to the original track title.
The horse choreography of “Gangnam Style” and the music has attracted views from all around the world. News channel and newspapers such as CNN, the LA Times and the Wall Street Journal, has given the music video worldwide recognition.
Meanwhile, PSY will be performing his “Summer Stand” concert at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on August 11th.
